My interest in photography started in the mid 1980's with my first purchase of a Nikon FG. I got away from photography in the early 1990's. But the introduction of digital cameras sparked my interest again. I started with a small digital camera to see if digital was really all the hype. The shutterbug bit me and I haven't looked back. Since that time, I have upgraded two times (Nikon D100 to Nikon D200). In 1994, I met the woman who would become my wife. Her name is Angie. She is my biggest fan and continually encourageges me in my photography. We currently live in Hurricane, West Virginia with our dogs Sasha and Daisy. My wife now shares my interest in photography. We enjoy photographing the beautiful scenery of our home state, West Virginia. But, our home away from home is the Great Smoky Mountains. We have many helpful tips and information about the Great Smokies under Smokies Info on our website. My wife says, "photography makes me constantly aware of everything around me." We enjoy discovering the smallest and the greatest of God's creation and capturing it for others to enjoy. The biggest reward with photography isn't always the photograph but is often the spiritual experience between God, nature, and ourselves. Others may see a beautiful picture, but for us it is a reflection in time of a wonderful experience with creation. God Bless
